Dr Michael Tang

Michael qualified from the Glasgow Dental School in 2002 and proceeded to train and work in a mainly National Health Service clinic.

Soon after graduating, he developed a special interest in oral surgery and dental implant treatments. He pursued further training with the attendance of commercial courses, being mentored by leading clinicians in the field, as well as in academic institutions.

In 2012, he was awarded a Masters in Dental Implantology.

In recent years he acquired a particular interest in digital planning and placement of implants. He has used and explored different systems from guides assisting with pilot drilling only to fully guided systems.

He routinely uses EthOss® for grafting deficient sites when carrying out implant surgery.

As well as receiving referrals, he also mentors less experienced colleagues. Michael is currently a Clinical Teacher for the University of Central Lancashire’s Masters of Implantology programme.
